The Montgomery Village Farmers' Market is a program selected by the Montgomery Village Foundation Board of Directors to be developed as a community enhancement in 2011. A 2010 community wide Long Range Facility Planning study found a Farmers' Market, was the 2nd most requested addition to the community. Seen as something that could be implemented in a relatively short span of time that would provide a sense of momentum and a visible sign of progress toward updating the Village establishment of the market was initiated. The Market is operated by the MVF Department of Recreation, Parks and Culture through the guidance of the Farmers' Market Steering Committee. Committee members volunteer at the market and assist with planning.
