Company Description
Sterling’s Market has come into fruition as a lasting memorial to Sterling Reckling, a young entrepreneur who grew up only blocks from St. Martin’s in the Tanglewood neighborhood,
nextdoor to the Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr., the Rector of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. A few years ago, he told Dr. Levenson that many of his fellow “market” friends had expressed an interest in offering their goods at a weekly market near St. Martin’s. When Sterling lost his life in 2021, his parents, James and Elise Reckling, and Dr. Levenson began discussing the “market” and how it could complement the neighborhoods around St. Martin’s and beyond.
